Aesop Tells his Fables

Title: Aesop Tells his Fables (1879) - Artist: Johann Michael Wittmer

Aesop was a Greek storyteller believed to have lived in the sixth century BC. He is credited with writing a collection of fables, or short stories with moral lessons, that have been passed down through the generations and translated into many languages.

Aesop's fables often feature animals as characters who speak and behave like humans, and are used to teach important life lessons such as the consequences of greed, the value of hard work, and the importance of being prepared.

Despite the fact that little is known about Aesop's life, his fables remain popular today and continue to be used in education and entertainment around the world.
