Little Red Cap Summary

“Little Red Cap” is a popular Grimm’s fairy tale around the world, reminding children to listen to their parents and not to trust strangers too quickly.

“Little Red Cap” about a young girl who is sent by her mother to deliver food to her sick grandmother. On her way through the forest, she encounters a cunning wolf who tricks her into divulging her destination. The wolf then races ahead to the grandmother’s house, devours her, and disguises himself in her clothing.

When Little Red Cap arrives, the wolf pretends to be her grandmother and tries to eat her. However, a woodsman arrives just in time and saves Little Red Cap and her grandmother by cutting open the wolf’s belly. From then on, Little Red Cap learns to be more cautious and aware of strangers.
